Week 8

: Consider is there a role for your library in “slamming the boards”? In what ways might your customers like to rate or review items in the collection or services you offer? Share your thoughts in your blog.

In our library there is a role for "Slamming the boards". We are a small country town and isolation is a major factor for many farmers and their families, this application would allow the user to ask a question of the librarian remotely and have this question answered without physically visiting the library. Customers could rate and review items in the collections with stars, ticks and comments recommending resources to other users. "Slamming the boards" is a way of promoting the reference librarian and the knowledge they have.
